NYC New York Color Spring 2012 Collection - Reviews, Photos, and Swatches

NYC New York Color has released some really cool new products for Spring 2012!

City Duet 2-in-1 Lip Color

These new 2 color lipsticks are available in 10 different shades.
This shade is Waldorf Roses. Here you can see the two colors, and how the lipstick is split.
The Waldorf Roses

The Cafe Cuties.

The Vintage Pinks. These shades are VERY frosty, especially the light pink, but if you put a lip gloss over these, you can slightly tone it down.

These lipsticks are creamy and smooth. There have been many comments about the flavor of them, and how they taste like a classic drugstore lipstick. I personally think they smell, and taste like pure sunscreen. I can live with it, but people with an aversion to highly flavorful things may not like these. This did not occur to me when I was swatching, but you can mix both colors together to get a new color. I don't know why they don't just call these "3-in-1." The pictures have quite odd lighting, but the capture the colors. These cost $2.99 per lipstick.

Big Bold Mascara

I think the mascara tube is super cute! It's short and chubby.
When I first used this mascara, the applicator startled me. It is huge! It's a little difficult to reach the inner lashes with this monstrous thing.
The product isn't exactly the "blackest-black", but it is pretty dark.
This mascara is my new favorite. It really made my lashes look like they were false. Once you get used to the big applicator, it's perfect! Plus, it's only $4.99!

High Definition Liquid Eyeliner

Yayyyy! Look how pointy the tip is!

Here I tried to show the different thicknesses you can get with this product.
I really like this eyeliner. Unlike some pen eyeliners, the point isn't wearing down. I have a feeling this will last a long while! These eyeliners come in 4 different shades, and are $3.99 each.

City Proof Lipgloss

Everlasting Blossom, Mauving All Night, and Round The Clock Ruby

Everlasting Blossom, Mauving All Night, and Round The Clock Ruby. The pigmentation on these is right where I would expect them to be. They are slightly sheer, but still have a lot of color pay-off, which I like.

The applicator is similar to the classic doe-foot, but is much flatter. I prefer this applicator,. I don't know why, but it's just...nice.
These glosses smell like bubblegum, and taste like it as well, but not sweet. It's hard to explain, but take my word for it. These are a little sticky, but not too bad. These come in 10 colors, and are $3.49 each.

So there you have it. Some new products by NYC New York Color. I think this is the longest post I've ever made, so hopefully you got through it all. There are some products I would definitely recommend checking out, and a large selection of colors as well.

(This product was sent to me for review by the manufacturer or their PR company. All opinions are my own and honest.)

  1. Thanks for sharing. I love the colors of the lip color, really pretty! The mascara is pretty interesting and the wand sure is quite huge but as long as it gives nice results I wouldn't mind..hehe =)

  2. I really love the colors, too! The mascara does take a little bit of getting used to, and after you use it for awhile, a normal sized applicator feels so flimsy! So far I'm really liking it!
